Multicultural- Mysterious Tales of Japan

The book, Mysterious Tales of Japan by Rafe Martin, tell different tales of Japanese descent. The author introduces himself and his passion for Asian literature in the beginning of the story. This book includes twelve translations of Japanese folk tale. Each story has one canvas-style painting found towards the ending. The illustrations capture the main idea of each tale. The pages the illustrations are on are a different texture than the text. The colors are warm yellows, reds, and others that best capture the Asian culture.
